Doune also featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail .Stirling Castle is one of Scotland’s most impressive castles due to its imposing position overlooking the Forth Valley and its impressive Renaissance architecture designed by the Stewart kings of Scotland Linlithgow Palace is the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and it was the location for Wentworth Prison of the TV show Outlander
