There are three of them, between Amman and Azraq, some of which are really remarkable. Qasr al-Kharana, a well-preserved Umayyad castle, Qasr Amra, a site that has received UNESCO World Heritage Site status for its mural paintings, and Qasr el-Azraq, a small black basalt castle. The latter is mostly famous because of T.E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) who stayed there with the Emir Faisal before capturing Damascus.
