Welcome to Jordan! Your self-drive tour guarantees that you can enjoy an immersive stay at your own pace in the heart of the Jordanian kingdom. Breathtaking locations and exceptional natural reserves are waiting for you. Dinner at the hotel.Overnight stay in Amman.Day 2: Amman - Jerash - AmmanBreakfast at the hotel. We suggest that you take advantage of your day to discover one of the best preserved Roman sites in the East: Gerash, a Greco-Roman city known as Gerasa in ancient times, and one of the best archaeological sites in Jordan, located 46 km north of Amman. The oval plaza, the Cardo Maximus, the nympheum, the temples of Zeus and Artemis... and many other monuments still testify to the genius of the Romans. Dinner at the hotel.Overnight stay in Amman.Day 3: Amman - The Desert Castles - AmmanBreakfast at the hotel. This morning, we head for the "Castles of the Desert". There are three of them, between Amman and Azraq, some of which are really remarkable. Qasr al-Kharana, a well-preserved Umayyad castle, Qasr Amra, a site that has received UNESCO World Heritage Site status for its mural paintings, and Qasr el-Azraq, a small black basalt castle. The latter is mostly famous because of T.E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) who stayed there with the Emir Faisal before capturing Damascus. Dinner at the hotel.Overnight stay in Amman.Day 4: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Kerak - PetraBreakfast at the hotel. On the "Road of the Kings" that leads to Petra, we advise you to stop at Madaba, a city that flourished in the Byzantine era, famous today for its mosaics, the most famous of which depicts the map of the region at the time of Jesus.10 km further on, you'll be able to admire one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Jordan from the top of Mount Nebo, thought to be the burial place of Moses. Then we suggest you stop at Kerak and visit the castle built by the Crusaders and which is a truly beautiful example of their military genius. Continue to Petra. Dinner at the hotel.Overnight in Petra.Day 5: Petra - Wadi RumBreakfast at the hotel. The highlight of your trip to Jordan is discovering the exceptional site of Petra. Often described as the 8th wonder of the world and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Petra was the capital of the Nabataeans, who carved extraordinary buildings and tombs out of the rocks in a gorge running through the steep and rugged pink sandstone hills which rise sharply on all sides. We then head for the Wadi Rum desert. Dinner in Wadi Rum.Overnight stay in Wadi Rum.Day 6: Wadi Rum - Bethany - Dead SeaBreakfast at the hotel. A wide dry valley bordered by red sandstone cliffs lying on a granite foundation, the desert of Wadi Rum is also associated with the memory of T.E Lawrence, who stayed there with the troops from the Arab revolt in 1917.This vast plain where gigantic rocks soar up to dizzying heights, all the while concealing the traces of a very ancient human settlement within their crevices, is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.You can discover Wadi Rum in greater depth on a 4x4 vehicle excursion that you can book on site.In the afternoon, you will head for the Dead Sea, the lowest point on our planet! On the way, you can stop at Bethany, the place where Jesus was baptised in the Jordan River. Take advantage of your stay at the Dead Sea for a unique experience "floating" in a sea that is nine times saltier than ordinary sea water and enjoying a mud treatment with therapeutic benefits. Dinner at the hotel.Overnight stay at the Dead Sea.Day 7: Dead Sea - Wadi Mujib - Dead SeaBreakfast at the hotel. The Wadi Mujib Valley is a wonderful experience during which you can explore another of Jordan's natural treasures. We suggest discovering the canyon during a 2-3-hour trek, alternating between hiking and swimming along the course of the small river at the bottom of the gorge; the panoramas are pretty impressive! Dinner at the hotel.Overnight stay at the Dead Sea.Day 8: Dead Sea - Departure from AmmanBreakfast at the hotel.
