Shakespearean London: Theater, magic and history
This self-guided walk takes you to discover the places related to Shakespeare's life. With special commentary filled with poetry and music, this literary tour begins in front of Shakespeare's Globe. You will learn some of the stories behind this monument, a replica of the ancient Globe Theatre. The narrator, full of passion, then takes you to the place where the real theatre existed during Shakespeare's times, and he will tell you the story of the fire that destroyed the theatre. You will then pass by in front of the Shakespeare Tavern in Thrale Street and the George Inn, one of London's oldest bars, as the narrator evokes the story of Hamlet. Your tour ends in front of the Southwark Cathedral, known for being the burial place of Shakespeare.
