Domestic abuse and violence
\'There are at least 15 signs that you might be in an abusive relationship.  You may be in an abusive relationship if another person, often a partner or family member: 1/ Stop you seeing friends and family 2/ Won\'t let you go out without permission 3/ Tell you what to wear 4/ Monitor your phone or emails 5/ Control the finances or won\'t let you work 6/ Control what you read, watch and say 7/ Monitor everything you do 8/ Punish you for breaking the rules, but the rules keep changing 9/ Tell you it\'s for your own good and that they know better 10/ Don\'t allow you to question it 11/ Tell you you\'re crazy and no-one agrees with you 12/ Call you names or shame you for being stupid or selfish 13/ Gaslight you, challenge your memory of events, make you doubt yourself 14/ Dismiss your opinion 15/ Play the victim, if things go wrong it\'s all your fault Abusive relationships can arise anywhere - with partners, friends, families, workplaces or GOVERNMENTS. If you recognise these signs and are concerned you may be in an abusive relationship or acting in an abusive way, then don\'t panic. Take action and seek out help from a professional\'.The problem arises when the professionals are not available, or they too are so scared they believe the Government narrative...  It then falls on you to begin to try to make sense of things and try to find a way to cope with the abuse and violence and to try to escape it.  This becomes more complicated when the Government utilises and weaponize the authorities against the people!Information from the world health organisation states that\'Violence against women is a global public health problem that has serious adverse effects on womens physical, mental, and reproductive health. It is increasingly recognized as a public health issue because of the expanding evidence base and growth of research documenting the magnitude and health effects of violence against women. For the first time, global prevalence estimates have been calculated based on all existing data from population-based studies showing that worldwide, 35% of women have experienced either intimate partner violence (physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner) or non-partner sexual violence or both in their lifetime. Multi-sectoral efforts are needed to combat this deep-rooted problem.\'This course provides students specific key areas:A brief history of domestic abuse and violenceDefining and types of domestic abuse and violenceSigns of Domestic AbuseImpacts of Domestic Abuse on the VictimImpacts of Domestic Abuse on Children and Young PeopleTaking Action and Offering SupportA brief personal experience as case studiesActivities to aid recoveryTBA - Political and Governmental abuseThe course is primarily reading material with case study and activity to complete throughout.  There are some recordings and a free meditation to aid and support students through this course that may cause gasps of shock or tears as your own experiences are brought to the surface.Students taking this course will require computer equipment and internet connection, note pad and pen, support from a counsellor should they have experienced Domestic abuse and violence and this course triggers any memories or creates flashbacks.Students who will benefit from this course are those who are in the health professions and who are required to identify and report suspicions and escalate concerns, for holistic therapists who\'s clients may inform them of abuse occurring, and anyone who is interested in developing knowledge base and skills in this area.Course CertificationStudents will receive a Udemy course certificate of completion, there is also an opportunity to obtain a certificate of completion from ourselves.
