Learn about the role religion plays for people in their day-to-day life through a critical and social scientific lens.Anthropology of Religion will teach you how to think critically about religion, and learn how it touches and impacts every aspect of all of our lives. Through this approach, you will learn how anthropologists approach topics around religion, like belief, but also how religion impacts many other areas of our lives even if we\'re not religious, like politics. This class provides you with an overview of what the anthropology of religion looks like, and how anthropologists approach the study of religion, complete with accompanied readings and bibliographies of researchers and studies to reflect on.This course provides with the ability to think critically about the world around you, and how religion is formed and understood by the people who participate and who observe.
