Sexual Violence, Rape and ExploitationFoundational AwarenessAs a victim of sexual violence the suffering is immense; shock, horror, self-loathing and self-hatred lead to a collapse of personhood as their world tumbles apart.  It can be an extraordinary experience to be the witness to a close family member or friend in the time after an event of Sexual Violence, Rape or Exploitation.  It is almost a surreal experience - trauma leads to soul loss and the mind can seemingly shut down - the body always remembers.There is nothing more soul destroying than the experience of Sexual violence.  The title of this course can not be re-framed or dressed up to make the subject more palatable.
