The Nelson editions were created in Great Britain with the aim of disseminating great works of culture at low prices . It is undoubtedly the ancestor of the paperback book . They were small, quality books, bound and stitched in the old-fashioned way with a hard cover , braided on the edge and on the front cover with designs that could look like interlacing , decorations very pleasing to the eye. In 1910 , the French subsidiary was created in Paris and therefore began to publish French titles. This book,  is a French language Nelson reprint the original 1858 novel. This edition was published in 1921.
