Binding reasonably firm, with spine present, damaged top and tail. Marbled paper top layer fragile and loose. Large number written on first page. Pages of text are generally in good condition but there is foxing and tanning throughout, particularly to pages opposite plates. This is one of an unusual part set of this edition - two plays per volumes whereas the norm is four, as per the Instructions to the Book-Binder included at the back of Volume 1. Each play is separately paginated so the division of volumes was at the discretion of the binder or purchaser.
