With this experience you will get the opportunity to paddle either an open canoe or a kayak across the water, at some locations you will get to try both. The kayaks and canoes used are very stable and designed for tuition so you are unlikely to fall out unless you try very hard! From this half day session you will be able to take on this sport in a more in-depth way and if you really enjoy it, help you to progress on to BCU star awards. Following registration you will meet your instructor who will fit you with your equipment, including buoyancy aid, boat and paddle (spray decks are available for experienced paddlers). There will then be a full safety briefing and explanation in the use of the equipment before going onto the water. Then it is time to take to the water.
