We recommend that an equal amount is trimmed from either side of the door to maintain a balanced appearance. We do not recommend trimming the top edge of the door, as this removes the doors traceability print used for warranty purposes. JELD-WEN recommends hanging this door using a minimum of 3 76mm (3”) hinges. SLIM-LINE doors are suitable for use with Roller or Ball catches that do not encroach more than 50mm into the door before trimming. We also recommend the use of pull handles with appropriately spaced fixing centers to fit within the 240mm lock area shown in the diagram below. Due to the narrow stiles used within this door design, these doors are not suitable for use with traditional 65mm length tubular latches and lever handles. FINISHING These doors are fully finished and ready to hang. You may need to decorate the edges if trimming is required during installation with a suitable colour-matched, matt finish interior paint.
