This classic snowboard profile is designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail, while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. The 18mm tapered shape means that the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and unbelievable deep snow flotation.Profile: Directional CamberAs the Straight Chuter is all about maximising its performance across both piste and powder, Burton utilises their Directional Camber profile. This combination of extended rocker in the nose with a set-back camber under the feet delivers the perfect balance of float and response. Entry rocker causes the nose to lift while camber under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions.ConstructionAs one of the most advanced snowboards on the market, the Straight Chuter is all about its construction, and heading this up is the FSC™ Certified Dragonfly™ 600G Core with Multizone EGD™ and Squeezebox. This state of the art profiled wood core uses end-grain woods in impact zones, allowing the designers to reduce weight by using lighter woods in the rest of the board without sacrificing strength. To add additional control to the core, Burton turns the wood grain perpendicular to the rest of the core in four separate zones adjacent to edges. This increases power transfer direct to the sidecut, increasing edge control and speeding up response. When it comes to the structural layers, once again, the Straight Chuter leads the way. These are formed from Burton\'s unique 45° Carbon Highlights glass. This high-performance Tri-Ax glass optimises each layer of the fibreglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine-tune torsional flex to achieve the optimum riding characteristics. The Straight Chuter, also adds carbon strands to the angled fibre layers to add life and reduce weight.BaseTo deliver a super-fast glide in all conditions, the Straight Chuter uses Burtons exclusive WFO Base.
