That combination of length and early rise in the nose ensure that no matter how deep it gets, this board is always going to be effortless to ride. In contrast, the short blunt tail is designed to sink, once again enhancing that float. But, more importantly, giving you a solid and dynamic platform to drive the board through the turn. That turning performance is then further enhanced with the addition of the Vario Grip sidecut. This complex design utilises multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold.ProfileThe Chris Roach utilises a combination of Micro camber with early rise in the nose. This combination shifts the rider’s energy out to the contact points and along the edges as the camber is compressed. This gives the board a more poppy feel through the length adding power to takeoffs, increased stability on landings and improved edge hold on the piste. The early rise gives enhanced float in the pow while freeing up the contact points for a more playful feel.ConstructionKey to the Roach’s stunning performance is its quality construction. Originating out of the highly acclaimed Never Summer factory, it’s spec list is a tour de force of high-end manufacturing. Heading up the quality construction is the Ultralight wood core. This lightweight core combines a custom blend of wood species to deliver the optimum balance of strength and performance. To this Acadamy then add structural layers formed from Never Summer’s exclusive Bi-Lite glass to give the perfect balance of strength and flex. These are then reinforced with Carbon V-Tech laminates which extend carbon fibre V\'s out from the inserts to the effective edge, stiffening the board torsionally and providing increased boost and pop when loaded up.
