Attractively designed LED pendant lamp Maru made of bamboo veneer elements This beautiful pendant lamp with the hoop-shaped shade made of interconnected elements of bamboo veneer was created in 2018. David Trubridge, a well-known exponent of eco and slow design in his own right, creates wonderful furniture and lighting based on inspirations in his current living environment. Trubridge is actually English and a shipbuilder by trade and settled in New Zealand with his family many years ago. He was guided to the look of Maru by the diatoms that form the base of the oceanic food chain. The name Maru means life cycle in both Maori and Japanese. The decorative shade is illuminated by LEDs. With Maru, a basic or area lighting can be staged, for example above a table, which immerses the surroundings in a fabulous light and at the same time creates mysterious shadows.
