The Professional range canvases are made from 480gsm high-quality, archival and acid-free cotton cloth, which is fixed on kiln-dried solid pine stretcher bars. The kiln drying helps protect the bars and the canvas from moisture and warping. The canvas is primed with richly pigmented gesso, ensuring the ideal balance of absorbency and tooth over the material, before being expertly stretched by hand, making them ready to use right away. Additionally, should you wish for more control over the canvas tension, the inclusion of extra, folded cloth (back-stapled in the corners on the back of the canvas) and four Pro Stretcher Devices™ per canvas (except in the smallest sizes) you will be able to adjust the canvas tension more easily than ever before.
