This patented fleece has been developed by one of our Taiwanese partners and its key attribute, beyond its warmth and low weight is its densely knitted outer face, akin to a ‘hard face’ that provides wind, water and abrasion resistance. It pushes the limits of what a midlayer is capable of, and whilst it doesn’t quite reach the wind resistance of a double-weave soft shell fabric, it does provide a valuable middle ground, shedding snow etc. when moving quickly through mixed terrain.
