Mike Olsen, co-founder of Lib Tech and Gnu, has over 40 years of experience in snowboard construction. He has taken this experience and put it into the Magic BM. The C2 Hybrid Rocker profile lets you glide effortlessly through the powder. The deep sidecut combined with the radical rocker profile provides incredible edge hold for carving on piste and ice. All this is topped off with a powder-friendly nose shape for a dreamy high-performance, all-terrain snowboard. Riding style The Magic BM is an all-mountain / freeride board for advanced riders. A fun board for all conditions and terrain. Shape The Directional Twin shape has the advantage that the nose gets a little longer due to the offset of the bindings towards the tail (setback), giving you more uplift in powder. However, the shape of the nose and tail remain symmetrical, which means that even switch riding is no problem. The Magne-Traction® technology provides improved edge hold with serrated edges. Especially on icy slopes they unfold their full potential. Profile The C2 profile comes with a rocker between the bindings combined with a camber under the bindings. This combination offers a good edge hold thanks to the camber areas, as well as good lift and unlimited freestyle action without canting thanks to the rocker. Flex The medium flex is ideal for the all-mountain design of this board. Hard enough for powerful turns, but still soft enough for a playful ride. Construction The Horsepower design is the first upgrade in the Lib Tech design range. The core consists of 60 % aspen and 40 % paulownia wood. This creates a stable, lightweight core with a lot of pop. The UHMW sintered sidewalls are another innovation from Lib Tech. The double sintered construction allows for a waterproof, strong and durable construction without toxic ABS. Due to the non-continuous edges on the tip and tail, these areas are protected from damage by the UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection System. The base and topsheet are made from eco-sublimated materials, and the TNT Base is also very fast with low maintenance.
