Across 32 episodes broadcast during 1967 1968, the series is remarkable for moving away from the more caricatured puppets of previous shows they have more realistic body proportions and the storylines are much more violent and darker in tone. Something reflected in the music which has amore militaristic feel to it although, as always, composer Gray offers up occasional lighter tracks to break up the mood.
