Seiko Presage Automatic White Dial Brown Leather Strap Men\'s Watch SRQ025J1 The Case: The case of this Seiko Presage SRQ025J1 is made out of stainless steel, it measures at 42mm in diameter excluding the crown. The thickness of the case is one of the highest in terms of dress watches, measuring at 15.2mm. A polished finished on the case immediately draws the eye to the timepiece with a crown and two buttons to access the chronograph feature seen on the right hand side. An exhibition case-back allows a glimpse into all the inner workings of the watch to provide effortless timekeeping. Additionally, sapphire crystal glass in a domed shape provides both class and protection to the dial. An anti-reflective coating prevents any glare from striking your eyes. The Strap: The SRQ025J1 is paired with a genuine leather strap. It compromises of a two piece construction with crocodile leather for the top surface and a basic cowhide for the underside. It is attached to a milled and signed deployment clasp. The Dial: A vintage look sets the tone for this dial. The outermost scale displays the seconds and minutes in a standard format. The next scale is the hours and represented by Arabic numerals in a vintage script called Breguet numeral font. All markers and numerals are in black except for the 12 o\'clock hour which is in red. Three sub-dials can be seen on the dial which make up the chronograph feature. Accessed by the two buttons on the side of the case, the chronograph can be used to measure time separately. With a measuring capacity of 12 hours, the piece can be used for a run in the park or an ultra marathon. A three set dark blue hand set make for a classy addition to the face. There is also a circular date aperture between the 4 o\'clock and 5 o\'clock position. Rounding off the dial is the ever present Seiko logo seen at the 12 o\'clock position. The Functions: The timepiece needed a highly reliable movement, which has been supplied using the 8R48. This movement is generally used in the top end Grand Seiko pieces which just shows the quality of this piece. It consists of 34 jewels and operates at 28,8000 BPH or 4 Hertz. An accuracy of -15 and +25 seconds per day and a power reserve of 45 hours keep you on track. A water resistance of 100 metres makes it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.
