Luminox Ice-Sar Arctic Blue Dial Black Rubber Strap Quartz Men’s Watch XL.1003.ICE The Case: The case of this Luminox Ice-Sar Arctic XL.1003.ICE  is made out of carbonox, a carbon compound material made exclusively by Luminox. It provides the watch with a highly resilient matte finish, taking the watch’s durability to a whole new level. The case has a uniquely beveled silhouette, which is juxtaposed by the circular fixed bezel that sits on top of it. The bezel displays a 60-minute increment track which augments more accurate reading of the time. Luminox’s signature double security oversized knurled crown is protected by a crown guard. Further protection is offered through the ultra scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass. It has been treated to an anti-reflective coating, to ensure maximum readability. On the flip side there is a stainless steel screw down case back.  The Dial: The textured blue dial offers an uncomplicated layout as a means of ensuring optimum legibility. Both the 12-hour and 24-hour time are displayed through an inner and outer dial display. The 12-hour time display is neatly presented through large Arabic numerals, the 12 o’clock marker has been replaced by a red 112, which is the emergency number for multiple European numbers. A date window replaces the 3 o’clock marker. A subtle 60-minute track runs around the outer edge of the dial, just inside of the chapter ring, this allows for more accurate reading of the time. The chapter ring hours the luminous inserts that provide readability in areas of low light. The centre of the stage is occupied by a hollowed out red handset and a white seconds hand, both of which provide excellent legibility as they stand out against the blue dial. The Luminox logo replaces the 24 o’clock marker in the inner dial. The Strap: The strap of this timepiece is made from genuine rubber on the Luminox Ice-Sar Arctic XL.1003.ICE. This durable and water resistant material is perfect for those who want to partake in outdoor activities. It fastens securely using a standard buckle. The Functions: Swiss-made Ronda 515 caliber quartz movement powers this model. It has a standard battery life of 45 months, but a power saving mechanism means that when the crown is pulled out the watch will stop, saving up to 70 of the battery life.
